Bacon-Wrapped Smokies - Another one of our Christmas finger foods

Don't these look delicious?

These were another part of our 2020 Christmas "Finger Food" get-together.  It simply wouldn't be a party without them.  Not only are they delicious, they are super simple to make.

2 (16 oz)  packages Hillshire Farms beef smokies
1 lb classic cut bacon (cut into thirds)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.  Line two sheet pans with foil.  Spray with cooking spray.
Wrap each smokie with a piece of bacon.  Secure with a wooden toothpick and place on a baking sheet.
Repeat until all smokies are wrapped and on the baking sheet.  (Make sure they are not crowded.)
Combine the brown sugar, garlic powder and cayenne pepper.  Mix well.
Sprinkle evenly over the smokies.
Bake for 30 minutes or until bacon is browned.

These are guaranteed to disappear first.

As a side note:  Add 3 Tbsp Dijon mustard into the brown sugar before sprinkling over the top.
